PHIL IN THE CIRCLE

Phil Hansen is an artist i discovered a few years ago and i absolutely love what he does with his art work. The way his mind works just is amazing and the way that he shows his opinions of the world are just mind boggling like this one below

This project sires was called goodbye art and each month he would choose something that at the end he would destroy which in a way is sad but he documented it with a video camera and a camera. This one was made out of matches and then he lit on fire. The video of it is below.

This is one of my favorite pieces that he has done.  Here is a quote of how he made the piece

"I broadcast my phone number via the internet and asked people
to call me and tell me a moment that changed their life.  All of
these moments were written over the course of 136 hours of
which I didn't leave the work space except for restroom breaks."

How many artists do you know that would give out there phone number and urge people to call them and tell me a moment that changed there life. He then took those stories and wrote them down on which made the piece.
